Default MAX (Family Movie with Lauren Graham, Robbie Amell)

This looks really cute. Too bad they couldn't have had a trailer with American Sniper. Same studio. They should have called it American Dog or something . I would be willing to bet it's a sleeper this summer.

Looked good but the trailer went on too long and showed to much IMO.

Hadn't heard a thing about this until the trailer dropped yesterday but I'm looking forward to it. Always a sucker for animal movies.

Lauren Graham is always a day one for me. She could make a movie about spreading butter on toast and I would be at the first showing the day it came out.

Thumbs up

I went with my parents and brother to see it and I thought it was really good and touching. We all did. Delivers exactly what you'd expect but if you like a movie like this you'll enjoy it. If not you definitely won't. It's as simple as that. I love dogs so I'm kind of a sucker for this type of movie.

8/10 (B+)

As far as terrible family films go, this one isn't the worst. Certainly not theater worthy, more of a made for tv movie. I wouldn't recommend paying to see it, but when it shows up on ABC Family or TBS, you could do worse.

I feel bad for those of you going because of Lauren Graham. Hands down, the worst performance she's ever done. Granted they gave her a cheesy stereotypical mom part to play, but you can't blame an intermittent accent on the script.

should be noted, the dog actor in this is an actual veteran. He retired after getting shot in the face while on patrol in Afghanistan.

I saw this on Monday. It was much better than I expected, some misty parts of course. I am not a dog person and I totally loved the dog! 5/5 if there were a poll attached.
