Anybody else playing Disney Infinity?

I bought the game for my three boys, but we are all enjoying it. We have all characters (even the crystal TRU exclusives) and all Power Discs (even the TRU exclusives).

I have completed The Incredibles, Pirates, Cars & Toy Story Play Sets (I mean all red and green capsules, all challenges on easy, medium & hard, all character chests, all gold star and non-gold star missions. All side items like finding and hatching all of the eggs in the Toy Story Play Set.

I am currently working on the Monsters University Play Set and I need to watch The Lone Ranger Blu-ray before I play The Lone Ranger Play Set.

We went to Disney World in November and were among the first to get the Magic Bands, so we have unlocked the Dragon in the Toy Box. Although I haven't made my own Toy Boxes yet (I am waiting to open all of the red and green capsules in all the Play Sets), I can't wait to build my own levels.

Disney has even published a teaser trailer for Disney Infinity 2. It features Captain America's shield. A new announcement is scheduled to be made on April 30th. Here's a video:

Still a lot of information unavailable. A new disc will be required, old figures, the DI Base, power discs & pre-built custom-built saved Toy Boxes will still work on 2.0.

Just picked up the Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow starter pack at BB today and added Captain America and Hulk. Hope to get a lot enjoyment out of it!

Yeah, I picked up the Marvel Starter Kit at Target yesterday for $39.99. I will buy all of the Play Sets, additional characters and power discs next year when TRU does BOGO Free.

Which characters from 1.0 are still available and will 1.0 terrain/sky discs work on 2.0?

Whew good to know, I'm gon'na start with 2-3 figures and 2-4 disc packs. How much are the discs packs? Didn't get a chance to look yesterday at GameStop

They can be found BOGO pretty often. I say wait for the sales. Here you go.

I bought the Marvel Heroes Infinity set for my soon to be 4yr old son not knowing how the game works. thinking it was identical to Skylander but I guess you can't play and of the figurines from 1. But if you have other 2.0 figurines you can only play it on Toy Box mode. I'm not familiar with Toy box mode. I played a toy box city mode and there were bad guys but after like fighting a few they weren't any left. Is it a mode where you have to build your own level?

We bought almost everything that came out for the 1.0 game and had a *great* time.

2.0 seems so much smaller and weaker by comparison with only three playsets.

We're trying to give 2.0 a fair shake, but no one at our house seems to really love it.

We didn't even bother to buy any power discs for 2.0 at all. People want good playsets, not endless Toybox-only characters.

2.0 could have been huge if they brought out more good playsets (Wreak-It Ralph or Nightmare Before Christimas).

As for 3.0, we're not expecting much and probably won't get it.

We feel EXACTLY the same way. 2.0 was really lame compared to 1.0. So much potential with the characters, but the playsets were too short. The Spider-Man Playset was fun, but the ring and swinging challenges were WAY too hard and very frustrating. The swinging mechanics were too difficult to control.

The devs said that they focused mainly on the Toy Box because they had data from 1.0 that showed more time was spent in the Toy Box. I called their Bluff on Facebook, but they never responded. I think 2.0 hurt their brand. We'll see if more Playsets and the addition of Star Wars in 3.0 will help them. I will be getting it and all the characters in February or March when everything is half off.
