Ok, in my opinion how much longer can dvd releases be happening? I think in 2-3 years studios will stop releasing movies on dvd. But the million dollar question is what happens to the already released classic shows from the 50s-80s, when dvd production stops and those shows eventually go out of print? Standard Defintion on blu ray is the answer!! Think about it, there are lots of shows that were released on dvd, that would cost alot to remaster for blu. They could rerelease alot of shows on blu as direct dvd transfers. 1 great example is the parker lewis complete series sd on blu ray from Germany on 2 blu rays!! Thats 1 hell of a space saver, dvd wise the complete series would be on at least 12 dvds. Id be willing to Shell out alot of money to replace alot of my tv on dvd if they did this for shows that had no chance for a "Real blu release. Im suprised this hasnt caught on in the USA yet. Lets hear what everyone thinks, post away !
