We’re very busy with the restoration of the 32 films, new image, new scores, new shots, new versions… I believe you will be amazed, and for us Keaton certainly deserves the best. Wait till you see even the already familiar material remastered and cleaned… We’ve done our best, we’ve already been working for months on the project, and the films are better than anytime in decades. About the Crowdfunding:
Because we have no specific funding for this project, the idea of crowdfunding means that we need money to finish the project. We’re not trying to pre-sell DVDs or BD. By contributing to a certain level, you not only pre-buy the DVD; you mostly enable us to complete the project. This is why we could not offer the DVD release before the 120€ level.
Because it is our first crowdfunding program, we may have misjudged what we should offer you to thank you for your help. We want to be clear that the 120€ will give you the choice between the DVD Release (for France and Europe) or the Blu-Ray US (release Q2 2016)
We will make some changes in the coming days, and add the reward of exclusive online watching for some title.
As Al Jolson used to say, You ain’t seen nothing yet !
