Default A/V setup help with old receiver (4K HDR)

Hey All,

I will be adding a few components to my home theater and need some help getting everything to pass through as intended.

Gear
  • Samsung KU6300
  • Pioneer that supports 5.1 (Don't remember the model number - 2011ish, No HDR or 4K passback)
  • PS4 Pro
  • Nintendo Switch (In March)
  • Raspberry Pi 3 (Building now)

Currently I have my PS4 Pro plugged directly into my Samsung KU6300 via HDMI to utilize the 4K and HDR. For audio I have an optical cable going out from my PS4 Pro to my receiver.

Now this all works, but I am setting up a raspberry pi 3 right now for retro gaming and getting a Nintendo Switch in March.

When I add these devices into the mix I'm confused as to how I can still get the 4K and HDR for my PS4 Pro plus video and 5.1 audio for the other devices.

I have thought that purchasing a HDMI switcher that supports 4K and HDR passthrough would work, but that would only cover the video and audio needs of the Nintendo Switch and Raspberry Pi 3. The audio for the PS4 Pro would still need to go through an optical cable. Unless there is something I am not thinking of.

I'm assuming the only way to get video and 5.1 audio for all devices is to get a new receiver that supports 4K and HDR passthrough but that's not really in the budget right now.

Sorry for the long post and any help is appreciated!
Thanks!
