Weird that they chose to release the Hindi dub version for an audience that would mostly require subs anyway. Possibly just because the rights holders were easier to deal with.

I remember Sunny (who worked on the Malayalam version BD for AP International) saying that the flat blacks and cooked look of the film was baked into the DPX master approved by the DoP.

I remember that as well. BUT, I'm hoping there's something that can be done. Not sure, but worth looking into

For anyone who still wishes for and cares about correcting the black levels of Eega to get the ultimate version in original Telugu, here is some good news.

The black crush issue was resolved on Netflix Telugu version and i wished for a long time that somewhere someone uploads this version for home video so i can download it. This i finally found today. There is no hope for Blu ray disc correction. So if anyone interested in this corrected version, can DM me i can share the link.

@Anurag1700 bro, If you could post some BD screenshots along with NF screenshots side by side comparison would be nice.

I think the Malayalam BD is a better than the BD screenshots you've shared here, or am I wrong?

Which one is malayalam ? Is it the same this thread above mentions as aditya video post #5 ? If so it's broadly the same quality. U can see the night screenshot in the same has no life. The very first set of screenshots in post #1 that Japanese BD cud be better I am not sure yet.

^ I checked the older threads to track the Malayalam API Eecha BD and though the screenshots have expired, it appears form the comments that similar master was used and black crush issue was almost same on that malayalam BD as the issue stems from the DPX files of master itself. It was just authored better and so in comparison Malayalam was a better looking BD in aspects other than black crush.

Thanks to help from and post from Ashik786 in the older threads, API also presumably has uploaded their BD version on youtube in this link. This shows the master was very similar to Aditya BD

https://www.youtube.com/supported_br...tube.com/watch

The OP screenshots here from Japanese BD remains my only curiosity now whether it has the crush and whether its better than Malayalam and Telugu BDs

I took the only night screenshot from Japanese BD (3rd one from top of samantha in window) and compared the same with Aditya and NF versions below. Its fair to say that even if better looking, the TC Entertainment (Japanese) BD will be closer to the Aditya master than the NF version

I believe the NF master is the same as the theatrical version I've been showing for the last year
