I just noticed this. It's set to be released in 3 months and there was no official announcement. How bizarre. Hopefully this isn't another Grave of Fireflies situation lol

Well it may well be, I got this email earlier from Sainsburys:

I doubt its region free. Practically none of Studio Canal stuff is region free.

Is Region B locked according to the box. Not tested it, but pretty sure it's accurate going on past releases.

I have the Madman Australian release and am pretty disappointed with the English dub audio. Compared to the DVD release it sounds faster and higher in pitch. I suspect this is because the dub was made against NTSC 30FPS video, so when synced against 24FPS for Blu-ray, they've had to shorten by 4%.

Which version did you have before? If you had a PAL DVD, the audio on that is higher pitched, the audio pitch on NTSC DVDs is not affected.

The Disney dub from the VHS/first DVD or the modified dub from the reissued DVD?

I had the R1 DVD previously. The pitch on that was, as you say, fine.

"Children who Chase Lost Voices" is the other English title. It was originally Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below" so "the other English title" is actually "the other OTHER English title" :P

Yes the literal title for "Children Who Chase Lost Voices/Journey To Agartha" is "Children Who Chase Stars"

Anyway, I still have my old R1 DVD of Kiki so I'll compare the audio as soon as I receive the UK BD sometime in the next few days.
