Germany Deadbeat (Hulu Original Series)

For anyone interested: StudioCanal will release the Hulu Original "Deadbeat" with the complete first season on the 20th of August. It is a supernatural comedy series. It is only available on DVD exclusively at Target in the US. Over here in Germany it gets a blu-ray release. I already have it in hand, if anyone has questions.

Hey Vincent,

I was looking at this release before. Is it full 1080p or is it a 50Hz encode? And did Studiocanal replace the titles and credits with German ones, or are they still in the original English?

Thanks!

I will re-check this later, but I am 99% sure it is 1080p and they did not change the credits. But the menus are in German (though not hard to understand). There is English Audio in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 by the way - but no subtitles at all.

Hey McCrutchy do you know if the season 1 is censored. I heard the F bombs have been bleeped out. True ?

Thank you

Hi mannjotsingh,

I received your PM with this question as well. Unfortunately, I do not know, as I do not have the release. You could, however, ask VincentVinyl, as he does have it.

Hey guys,

can you tell me an episode where such a spot is easy to find? Then I will check it :-). I also still need to check if I was not mistaken, but I am 99% sure it is 1080p (not i) and nothing has been done to change the credits. I also don't remember them bleeping anything out, but if you tell me a scene that is easy to find, I can check.

McCrutchy that PM was for VincentVinyl but got the names mixed up. Anyways.. VincentVinyl I'll give you some of the exact runtime of the cursing in a few days.

Peace

* Update *

Episode 6 - 09:56 Kevin speaks to the orphan girl ghost where he drops a F bomb & it's bleeped out.

Episode 7 - 15:26 Kevin speaking to the dead parents where he says f**king "bleep" 30 years old.

Hey guys, I have good and bad news:

- The series is 1080p
-The credits are not changed, everything is still in English
- The f-bombs are bleeped out

I don't know if this can be called "censored" or if it is just part of the series. Is there any version around without the bleeps?
