Default The Island UK import

Say if I wanted to buy the UK version of the Island would it cost a lot to get it shipped to the US? Also, Euros are about twice as much as the dollar correct? and i could play it on my ps3 right?

I believe Dobyblu ordered it and it is region free. I feel like when I looked on Amazon and checked the exchange rate it was like $40 before shipping. Not quite worth it to me. I would happily pay $25 or so though.

On Amazon.co.uk - this is buy 2 get 1 free. Great deal.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.h...d_i=B000PI3UEA

So, 3 movies for the prices of 2: GBP 15.30 (after VAT deduction from 17.98) * 2 + GBP 5.06 shipping to USA = GBP 35.66 = 72.91 USD (Dec 11, 07 exchange rate). [I'm glad shipping is pretty cheap]

That's only about $24 a movie, shipping included.

I have The Island already. I'm in the USA. And, it works perfectly on my US Sony S-300 Blu-ray player. I also have NEXT on blu-ray, which works just fine on my player as well. So, check out the region info website. It is excellent and seems to be very accurate.

PS. Another good thing about importing these films from UK is that they are released in UK by Disney and I would rather give my money to Disney than the back-stabbing Paramount.

euros is 1.47 for each us dollar so just average 1.5 make it easy
so its 17.98 dollar exchange is roughly 27.00 plus about 5 more for shipping

the movie looks incredible, but hey its warner so you know what that means for sound

your better picking up a few titles ship them together so you wont notice the hit on shipping so much

i recomend
bruce almighty
next
hostage
thirteen ghosts
face off
starship troopers

all currently unavailable on BLU here in the states and yes all work on the PS3

Face off quality was not that good. don't waste your money wait until it comes to the US and gets remastered. screen is stretched and colors ripple..

Wow I thought Face/Off import was great - the PCM 5.1 track was fantastic.
