Looks to me like region b only based on Amazon description and here. Also, it has French in 5.1 vs the us release that has Spanish as 5.1 sound vs 2.0 in the French release so at least they are not the same disc.

Note the French release is 1544mins while the USA release is 1645mins.

So, I'm not sure if the episodes were heavily edited or there are missing documentaries.

My guess is too many variables, probably waiting to see of someone that has actually bought it to chime in. But yes, great price!

EDIT: BTW in amazon france, in mobile it says region B (reason I said B last night) and that it might not play outside europe, while desktop amazon france says all regions

EDIT 2: The german version is B region exclusive based on US amazon customers complaining on S3 BD from Germany. So maybe the french one might be region locked.

Yeah, I wasn't too clear. I was referring to The Wire which had about 100mins difference with two different products. I might get it anyway at that price.

I did just pick it up, so I will update if I get it while it is still on sale, although unlikely. FWIW, I did post this originally in the normal US deals forum. I am region free, but I will test once it comes in to see what region it is.

Almost assuredly region free, but no guarantees. The amazon seller was selling an unopened set, for which they were playing it safe.

I own the French True Blood box and can state that it is most likely entirely region free. I just opened it and tested season seven, disc one and it started without issue and was entirely in English (menus, warnings). I am in the United States and it played on a Region 'A' player. If I have time, I will test Region C and another disc later.

Checked the disc one from every season and they all played in Region A. Season 2 actually had DVD region 2 labels on the discs, very weird. It was bought from Amazon France before someone screams bootleg.
