4K OLED for Resolving Full Passive HD 3D Encodes
Posted the following in the Blu-ray Players and Recorders section, in the is ultra hd going to be like laserdisc be a niche market product? thread, but I feel the subject needs its own thread here:
My only interest in 4K UHD at this point is its potential for resolving full passive HD 3D MVC encodes. A step-up from half resolution passive 1080P sets and backwards compatibility with Blu-ray 3D players. Until then I enjoy full resolving active 1080P display technology. My next set will be an OLED 4K passive UHD display for the above reason only. |
