We are a quarter of the way into the year and out of curiosity, I'm wanting to see what has disappointed you.
For me it was: The Monuments Men Last edited by tallrichard; 03-23-2015 at 01:01 PM. |

not movie-wise, but I was really disappointed by the Blu-ray of The Theory of Everything.
The was close to being my favorite film of 2014 and I was really hoping for something better than a generic amaray and slipcover. Same goes for Whiplash and Boyhood. At least Birdman got something at least a little better than average. |

So far The Theory of Everything and Foxcatcher have been the most disappointing for me. Each film contains excellent performances, but both are so just so damn slow and unfulfilled in their endings.

Has Anchor Bay ever licensed a title to another company?
Meanwhile, I must wonder if Anchor Bay's having financial issues. Outside of the steady stream of Weinstein titles (though some of them have chosen to go to Netflix before home video), they've been pretty spotty with titles lately. In Your Eyes and The Better Angels were DVD-only (despite the fact that names like Joss Whedon and Terrence Malick would have sold those two on Blu) and Hollidaysburg was only made available as a bonus disc on The Chair: Season One (while Not Cool, the other movie from the series, got a separate DVD release). And there were rumors a while back about Fox buying Starz (Anchor Bay's parent company). |

Honestly the Diamond Luxe Edition of Gravity. If this is considered Diamond and the best they can do they can keep it.
No 3D, the silent version in just DD audio only. Complete waste of time And effort. It was a half-*ssed job. |

Easily Rabid Grannies! At least the releases mentioned by most everyone else are in HD. Rabid Grannies looks like a bad VHS, not an exaggeration. There won't be a worse release this year, I can almost guarantee it. Blatant lying on the press release as well. The best part of this release is the inclusion of the old DVD they produced 10 or more years ago, which somehow looks better than the blu-ray.
