USA Found Footage (2016) [No 3D Blu-ray, Digital & Anaglyph releases only]

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/foun...the-camera-284

I'm not sure about the above movie, can anyone confirm is this an actual 3D movie? Or is it just a spoof of found footage movies with 3D in the title? I hope the former!

It's real enough, even has a one-sheet, but the question is not answered on the imdb:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3449006/?ref_=ttfc_fc_tt

type in the title and you get a number of films called Found Footage:

http://www.imdb.com/find?ref_=nv_sr_...d+footage&s=tt

When you say it's real enough, you mean it's a real 3D movie? Or unless you were just confirming it's a real movie?

imdb confirms it's a real movie, but whether or not it's in 3-D is not addressed in the listing.

The one-sheet pictured on the imdb, however, indicates an anaglyph film.

Fingers crossed it's real 3D. I assume anaglyph glasses are pictured as they are instantly recognisable as 3D glasses, as opposed to stereo 3D glasses which just look like sunglasses.

You can find out more about the film from their indiegogo page. The movie was crowdfunded and from what they say in the write-up, it is 3D:

Found Footage 3D Indiegogo

Wish I had known about it as I would have supported it. Hopefully they will release a 3D BD and it won't be just for the backers.

What film are we talking about?

"Found Footage 3D."

I get that, but what's the film?

"Found Footage 3D!"

Yes, yes, I love the genre too. Now, can you just tell me what the film is??

"FOUND. FOOTAGE. 3D."

>sigh<

This conversation is going nowhere.

Probably my favorite genre -- I even like the bad ones.

I'll have to check this out.

Here's a side by side comparison (not side by side 3D) of what I hope will be in the "Found Footage 3D" film.

I love this genre too and there's plenty of room for spoofing it although horror comedy is a very tricky balance and so many miss the mark.

Default Found Footage 3d

A group of filmmakers sets out to make the first 3D found footage horror movie, but find themselves IN a found footage horror movie when the evil entity from their film escapes into their behind-the-scenes footage.

Very good 3d with some excellent scares. A bit like the scream of found footage films

This was very well received at London's Frightfest last weekend. Looking forward to it and I'm glad there finally is another 3D horror film out.

I'll guess the film will be available on blu ray if possible, in 2017 for 3D if that happens.

If anybody has a good idea for a found footage 3-D film -- let's hear it.

Give me a few minutes.

The film takes place in the modern world. The main character owns two stereo cameras. Oliver, his name, loves the format and records his daily life. One day, he wants to ask a girl named Natalie out since he has a crush on her, but out of nowhere, aliens invaded Barbados. Destruction and debris is all over the country. Oliver strives to survive. He asks his friend to record the invasion. While they are on the run and Oliver kick some alien butt along with some action scenes from the friend's point of view, they bumped into Natalie, his crush. She joins them and continue to survive until an alien killed the friend, leaving the two distraught. Oliver picks up the camera, which is destroyed. The film resumes with Oliver collecting his other camera. Natalie and Oliver had a quiet moment, revealing their pasts. He confesses his love to her and leaned over to kiss her, but she refuses. Then the alien leader arrives and kidnapped Natalie. So Oliver gets involved in a motorcycle chase scene with the leader (pop outs and all) until the leader stops and threatens to kill her. Oliver begs for her life. The alien wants to trade her for the camera. He reluctantly accepts. The leader now has the camera, recording the chaos to his pleasure, until he suddenly shoots Natalie in the leg. Oliver gets angry and runs to punch him. The leader kicks him in the stomach as he gives his sidekick the camera to record him. So they have a brutal fight with punches and kicks with bruises on Oliver's body. He distracts the leader, takes the gun and shoots him and the sidekick dead. The camera is on the ground, still recording. Oliver and Natalie embrace. She confesses that she had a crush on him, but she was too shy. Before she could finish, Oliver shared a tender, warm kiss with her as tears ran down both on their cheeks since they won't survive for long because the aliens want revenge for the leader's death. One of them shot both of them with the camera still on the ground, recording. The killer picks up the camera, recording Barbados filled of dead bodies, announcing that the country is theirs, every parish. He shuts off the camera.
