Motorhead is my second favorite band. When I saw this news my damn heart sank. Spending the night blasting Motorhead and having some drinks!

I just stared at my screen, because I seen it on the Anthrax FB page but it was kinda cryptic, so I went looking and nobody else but his wiki page had it listed.. then Anthrax came out and said it.. which made it worse... then everyone else like Ozzy and Kreator had it and made it all too real

I am CRUSHED by this! I am so thankful I got to see Motörhead this past 9/16 on Long Island with Anthrax! May Lemmy R.I.P....I am forever thankful that Motörhead has released many kick ass albums and that Bad Magic was a damn good album! Thank you Lemmy! I will never forget you or Motörhead!

Don't forget, Phil Taylor passed away this past 11/11, so at least Lemmy will be reunited with his pal up in heaven....and he will be able to see Dime, Randy Rhoads, Ronnie James Dio, and many other great rock artists who are no longer with us....

I was first introduced to Motörhead's back in late 1986 via MTV's Metal Music Half-Hour show and this was the promo video shown one day after school when I was in the 6th grade...

So obviously this was very bad news for me. To be honest though I've been kind of expecting this for years now-- 70 is a pretty damn impressive age to get to when you factor in his lifestyle and how much he's abused his body over the years.

Still, there's nobody like him, and never will be again. I wish I had made a point to go see them the last few years. R.I.P Lemmy.
