I have a question and would like to see if anyone knows how to answer my question correctly. My question being I just bought the Thor 3d bluray and would like to know How do I redeem the Thor 3d digital copy code so it shows up in Disney Movies Anywhere? The code sheet does not say anything about Disney movies anywhere and it says the codes redeems in standard definition using the dvd anyone know the answer to my question.

There isn't a DMA specific code but once the iTunes redemption is done, it'll be in DMA. You might have to link and unlink your iTunes account in DMA to push it through. |

Ps Steve Dave I really don't think unlinking and relinking my dma account with iTunes would do anything other than get me a sd copy when I want an HD copy. Last edited by Speakerband; 10-08-2015 at 03:48 AM. |

When you redeem an iTunes/XML version of Disney movie and your DMA account is linked to your iTunes account, your SD movie will be automatically upgraded from SD to HD. If you previously downloaded/copied the SD version, the HD version won't be visible. You need to delete your local SD iTunes copy first and then the HD version should appear. If it still doesn't show up, you will need to unlink and relink your DMA as it probably had an issue synchronizing your purchases. You would not be the first to experience that issue and the advice is spot on.

Disney didn't re-release the Marvel movies to iTunes in 2013. They simply had Apple change the studio name and added the iTunes extras.
Any Marvel digital movie prior to The Avengers is actually a Paramount digital movie. Just the studio name change under the description. Apple never removed anything from their servers. You are always going to have the Paramount version because the Paramount's name is legally tied as distribution partner to the pre-Avengers films. Disney did pay Paramount a special fee for the films up to & including Iron Man 3. I'm not sure if it also covered Thor: The Dark World. Disney is also paying Paramount a fee for the future Indiana Jones films. And as we said, unlinking and linking iTunes to DMA will fix issues like HD upgrades not occuring and/or movies not showing up in another service. But before you do that, you need to check under Purchases to see if an HD copy is there. If it's there, delete the SD one and download the HD. It was actually cheaper on Disney's behalf to just reuse Paramount's existing stock until depleted then have Blu-ray only stock created. Last edited by steve_dave; 10-08-2015 at 05:13 AM. |

Is it still true now that Thor, Captain America and Iron Man 2 will take the SD iTunes copy and add it to DMA as HD? I sold all of these a while ago as I do with all of my SD iTunes codes. Are there any other movies that this applies to? Thanks.
