Default Does PS3 Take MicroSD?

Does PS3 have support for a MicroSD card? I just bought a new phone and it has a microSD slot and I want a card for that and If it works for oth that is great.

I doubt it supports that. is there an adapter where you can put that car into a SD card that is supported?

The $600 PS3 supports CompactFlash, Memory Stick and SD, it says on the playstation 3 website.
However, it's uncertain if this will mean MicroSD, or M2, or any other micro flash card format...
We'll have to wait and see. And, who knows if they won't release an additional card reader for PS3. You have 4 USB connections in the end.

There is a micro sd to sd card adapter. You just slide the micro sd card into the adapter and then stick it into your PS3 and it reads like a normal size sd card.

OK. I just bought a Kingston 1GB micro sd card with an adapter for $40. The adapter converts it to normal SD size. I just need to buy a USB card reader for my PC so I can put data on it. PS3 will be able to read via the adapter, correct?

Thanks alot.

The adapter, as I said, makes the Micro SD appear as a normal SD card.

yep, I use something similar with my PSP & K750i pro-duo cards; an adaptor allows me to slot it into my PC to transfer files, etc

I believe Sony have said that this is how the 20Gb PS3 can access flash memory cards - it has no reader builit in - you should be able to use one of the USB slots and just connect a card reader.

For the 60Gb version, I guess Sony went with the most popular formats.
