Default What is the problem with Disney Blu-rays?

I have had two movies that will not play on my blu ray player (BD P1000). (Yes, I downloaded the software update when I first bought it.) The only problems I've had with disks after that is with Bridge to Terebinthia and Ratatouille - both Disney products.

Anybody have any ideas of what could be going on? I'd appreciate the help Thanks

It might be more of a player problem than a disc problem; I have heard about multiple problems with disc compatibility with certain players.

Nope, wish it was that easy. Just unwrapped it an hour ago - long enough to get through what seems like an endless number of advertisements at the beginning and then the movie doesn't load.

It's not the disc, it's the player. No offence, but the Sammy 1000 was the worst Blu player I own or have owned. I got rid of it and replaced it with a PS3 and have never looked back. Good luck with it.

nothing.....nothing at all.....

but my player has had trouble at random times....im guessing its no different then a computer having a hiccup at times.

like when i was switching through discs of lost.....some would not start....at all.....after a few minutes of continually hitting play i got them to load.....fortunetly i have a great deal of patience and after it started i was too in awe to care about the "hiccup".

I agree, probably the player, I have both of those movies and watched a few times with no issues. (Panny BD30 and Sammy 1400)
I also had at one point 4 Samsung 1000's, Sold them all to one guy on Craigs List !! one of the happiest days of my life...LOL

I've had issues with Remember The Titans and Chicago.

I see white specs throughout the movie. Do a search for "Remember the Titans" and you can see where I listed time stamps of the white specs in the opening minutes of the movie alone.

If your two movies are not playing on your blu ray player. That mean there is a problem in your player not in your disc.

Default disney BD's

Most definately...Go to Sony's web site and check for updates. There have been a few and they have been released to deal with some of the Blu-rays that are just hitting the shelves. A relatively long load up time is normal for any BD player. However, 5 min is too long. I suspect that you could use a firmware upgrade. Sony provides them for free.
