Do we think the first one might end up being lenticular like Boy and the Beast? Have something appear in that field?

I think the second one is lenticular. Zoom in on the edges and you can see where it looks like a lenticular card on the full slip. Sicario and Will You Be There? were the same way too.

Will go for the Lenticular since I think it matches up with the Boy and The Beast lenticular release pretty well.

So I guess rather than having a set run they're just taking preorders in those couple days then printing however many orders they get. Release looks cool, and I already own a copy of this on blu so I can just swap in my english-friendly disc into this Plain release ~

Probably doing it this way because, while the Boy and the Beast set, which I ordered day 1, is quite nice, it isn't sold out on their site and I am sure part of that reason is due to the lack of English subs. So with this one not having them either, they'd rather just see how many they need and minimize the extra copies they have lying around.

This movie was also already released in Korea in 2016, so demand could be pretty low.

There's not a set number this time, preorders are open til Aug 1 then however many are ordered is what they're making

That's kinda disappointing to hear. I already pre-ordered my Lenticular Slip copy, along A Most Wanted Man. I'm sure the lack of English dub or subtitles is hurting the sales to some degree, though I don't really care.

I bought their previous Beast and the Boy and TheBlu's The Girl Who Leapt Through Time in spite of them having no English subs/dub. I just bought the US blu-ray releases as well. They were just great overall packages. Hopefully this doesn't stop them from doing other anime movies in the future.
