Default Onechanbara Z2: Chaos Being Localized For America And Europe

Quote:
Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is being released in the West, XSEED Games announced this morning. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 in North America this Summer.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is a hack-and-slash game developed by Tamsoft and D3 Publisher. The North American version of the game will be released both via the PlayStation Store as a digital title and through a limited run “Banana Split” retail release, which will come with a soundtrack CD, a softcover art book featuring artwork from the game and its predecessor, Onechanbara Z: Kagura, as well as a free code for a DLC costume.

NIS America will handle publishing duties for Onechanbara Z2: Chaos in Europe. More details regarding a European release will be shared at a later date.

The only Onechanbara I ever played was the one that came out for 360 and it, well, it wasn't good. Watching some of the streams for Z2 Chaos, however, made it seem much more fun, as the character switching and combat seemed much quicker and smoother. I might give it a try (probably as a rental).

Well this is interesting. I may have to check it out. Always a good time battling evil monsters as a hot girl in a bikini.

Most of the better Onechanbara games only got localized in Europe. But when D3 Publisher decided to bring the series to America, they chose Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad that were not as good. I wish the 1st Z Kagura game would be localized for PS3 but we get the 2nd one instead since it's on PS4.

I played a bit of the Japan release. I wonder if it will get censorship in NA.

I doubt it. Takes time and money to do that. Though NISA has censored some of their games which always get a lot of rejection from fans, but I think it's pointless to censor games from their original version especially when it comes to niche companies who are releasing niche games with not a whole lot of money and time to work with.

Like I remember Criminal Girls for PS Vita was going to get an English dub, but NISA chose to instead spend all of that time land money localizing the game by censoring it and so canceled the English dub.

All of the other Onechanbara games have been localized uncensored.

Wild. I'm totally fine with my import copy but there's some plot points (ololol, right?) that I missed. So will double dip for an official translation.

The Wii/360 games are very janky. Z2 plays very smooth, although maybe some of that is the 60fps. It certainly still feels like a budget game even though its a step up the older ones.

Yeah.

Check out the Banana DLC costume. Since that's in, there's no way they're censoring anything else.

Go to coordinate. You'll unlock a bunch of accessories by beating the challenges and the missions, but most of them are just odd.
