Default Movie Burnout - Anyone Else?

I think I am experiencing movie burnout. I have like 20 movies here that I have yet to watch. I really have no desire to watch them either. Anyone else get that way? It seems to come in waves for me. I watch movies for months and not much regular tv. Then I flip.

I still love blu and will be buying them, just not watching. Perhaps also it's mainly catalog titles and not "new" releases.

It's natural. Don't sweat it.
Don't disappear from the boards and stay active.

You'll bounce back in no time.

Do something you don't normally do. Take up archery or someting.

That's my take.

Lol, archery? You want me to go to jail don't you? Just so you can take my blu collection! NO WAY!

Yeah, I think I am going to start doing something else. Not sure what.

Yes. I get that. I have to keep my veiwing varied between DVDs, BDs, Shows I have recorded on DVD and regular television. Sometimes I need to step away from TV altogether ( ) and read a good book or some other activity to keep it fresh. I also have to watch myself from watching my favourite BD movies too many times.

I have a couple dozen I haven't watched on Blu-ray yet... but it's not because I'm burnt out. I go through quite a few netflix movies and don't always feel like watching the movie when I get it or just don't have the time (I usually give Netflix movies priority).

Due to Family and Work, I don't get much time to watch, so I'm always excited to to get to watch a BD. Watched two today (Rescue Dawn and King Arthur) enjoyed them both.

Home alone tonight, gotta take advantage when I can.

I get that way in the middle of a boring movie

I have tons of sealed BD's still, and most I have opened are still unwatched, I just dont watch that many movies, or TV really; but when I want to watch a movie I want a choice, why I buy so many.

LOL! I've watched the DVD (ok...no laughing) of Tombstone so many times the laser has burned a hole in the material. I'm like a teenager who can't stop playing the same CD track over-and-over again. hehe.

I think he means you've gone to Oz somewhere and it's time to come back to reality. In other words...resume your old routine and get back to watching BD's.

Never mind, I guess that's what happens to humor when you wake up in the middle of the night and post.

Dont worry Manco. Watching movies on DVD is no laughing matter. There is some up-scaling, but I can still barley force myself to watch DVD movies any more. It takes about 30 minutes for my BD eyes and brain to adjust. Spagetti Westerns - man with no name (except one time) and tombstone. Best westerns ever!

I'm really burned out at the titles. I feel like I'm seeing the same titles over and over again in each sale, and nothing much that I want. I want more new titles and catalogs to be released. I love watching what I buy, but don't buy if I know I won't watch it plenty of times.

I actually have more than 20 BDs that I still need to watch. But not because I'm burned out, but more because between my BD buying habit, my SACD/DVDA buying habit, updating and re-arranging my studio, my 100% job, my wife and 4 kids and making music there just isn't that much time left to listen to music and watching movies

The only problem I get is when I do have time, what to choose

Of my 39 titles, I've only watched 13, and 1/2 of Planet Earth. I've been extremely busy the past couple of weeks doing some side work, but I plan to watch a few this weekend and start catching up.
