Default Vikings: The Complete Third Season 10/6/15

Pre-order is up for Season 3 of Vikings! Season 3 airs in two weeks so get excited! Great historical story with a great cast based on the life and times of Ragnar Lothbrok, a legendary Norse ruler. One of my favorite shows. I've seen every episode and enjoyed each one. $59.99 but I'm sure it will drop.

I know, right? Season 3 hasn't even aired yet and the pre-order is up. I really like the series, though, so it immediately caught my attention. Nine months flies by at my age, believe me, at any rate Betcha I'll have the other two seasons by the time this comes out, too

fantastic show and its awesome the blu ray has extended episodes with more gore and nudity. Makes it more real and seem more like a premium cable show. Instead of the censored history version.

Wow, good to know, man. I might pick them up sooner than I thought (If they show Katheryn Winnick nude, I may need an ice bath )

I saw episode one of season three when it first aired. I'm watching it again now on another day and it appears to be edited from the version that showed the first time. The scene with his son, Boneless, started with Ragnar playing with his other kids. In the repeat that part was cut. Also, when Lagertha gets on the wagon to go to their new land and the king jumps up he says how great she is and then Athelstan says he said he likes her. In the repeat she asked why he's on the wagon since he's a king and he leans back and says he's a king, so what, and Athelstan then says he said so what he's king. I sort of understand editing to make it fit a shorter time (this showed at 58 minutes in the repeat) but actually changing lines? I don't understand this! Are there multiple versions of each episode? I've even heard in Europe that the episodes are slightly different.

They are different in Europe because they have boobies and US tv won't allow that. You get the boobie versions on bluray.

Are the changes enough to alter plots or scenes from their US version? What am I missing watching the U.S. versions?

Yes. Sometimes you are missing a lot of dialog that could put the view of the characters in a different light all together. And its every episode that is 2-5 min longer especially season 2. Season 1 had about 4-5 episodes much longer the rest of then was only extended about maybe 5 seconds.

So yeah buying this show on blu ray is a real treat. Would be Nice if more shows did this. Sons of Anarchy has also done it and Breaking Bad, walking dead.

Is there more shows that has done it that i am not aware of?

Hmm, no longer available on Amazon US. Is it just out of stock, does anyone know? Or is there some problem with the release?

Edited to add:
I'm ordering from outside the US. Can anyone recommend another source for this item that will ship to Australia? Thanks!

its FOX having disputes with Amazon so they are pulling all their pre-orders Blu-Ray and DVD. They will be up just before the release date.

And if you don't wanna wait i think you can order from the UK also but it might only be Region B though

Ahh, thanks. That explains it.

(I wrote to Amazon customer service, but got waffle back that I suspect the op was just making up on the fly. Certainly didn't contain any actual info.)

Anyway. No problem per se with Region B -- Australia's Region B as well -- but I have the US releases of the first two seasons, so want the third to match if possible.
