I've got 2 annoyances right now that completely baffle me. I'm beginning wonder if whoever coded the video playback features on PS4 was completely retarded or what.
1. Why can't I find an option to autoplay blu-ray movies??? I'm actually obligated to "Start" them manually when I pop the disc in? 2. Under "Video Playback Settings" there's an option for "Allow Internet Connection." I have this unchecked because I want nothing to do with BD internet features, BD-Live etc. now or ever, intentionally or unintentionally. Problem is now every time I put a disc in, the damn PS4 asks if I want to let the movie connect. If I wanted the damn thing to connect, I would check the ****ing box, wouldn't I!?!? Point being, it shouldn't be asking, and the disc should have no idea the PS4 is hooked to the internet to ask anything itself. This is a PS4 menu/prompt before the disc boots though, and it's pissing me off. I'm definitely on the verge of getting an Oppo. I wanted to use the PS4 because of the bluetooth remote and wait out the new Oppo though. |
