I haven't been happy w/ Amazon making some products (w/ special pricing) available only to Prime members. But w/ giving them a 30 minute headstart on lightning deals, that's pretty much the last straw for me. Their deals haven't been as good these last couple years for Black Friday- and the few that are good deals are now unavailable b/c they get snapped up by Prime members before others even have a chance.
I know they want to entice people to join Prime, but it feels more like coercion. While they still have some good deals, most of their offerings anymore are not at good prices (I'm talking music and movies/TV, as that's mostly what I look at). So, I think I'm done w/ Amazon- even though there are still good prices on some things. Power corrupts- and they've gotten too big and corrupted and I don't care to support that anymore. I'm also afraid this is just the beginning of heavy-handed moves... |
