Yeah, stupid question, I know. Every director/filmmaker is unique albeit his/her influences, and nobody will ever be like Kubrick. But just for fun, because I see people being paraded as the "new Kubrick" all the time, who do you think is the "new Kubrick", whether you interpret that to be, whether it's visual style, themes, symbols, filmmaking ethos, attitude, characters, plots, tone, whatever.
I'm including all the well known or considered-kubricky filmmakers I know of that are still working more or less today who weren't making films during Kubrick's peak (60's, early 70's). They also need at least 2 films. And yes, I know, there can only be one Kubrick. You don't have to say it. You can feel it. Last edited by Coenskubrick; 06-14-2015 at 06:21 AM. |
