If the master is old enough like it is with many Universal titles, it will look poor no matter if they apply DNR or not.

However, fans should be optimistic about this release because it has the words "Anniversary Edition" attached to it. Unlike Warner who just have new packaging and recycle the discs for their anniversary editions, Universal seem to prioritize that their anniversary editions should have good transfers. I'm not saying that there aren't expections, but I know that their anniversary editions of Do The Right Thing, High Plains Drifter and some others looked uncharacteristically good for a Universal title.

SO are we this much closer to a The Getaway 20th Anniversary Edition?!

Hard to believe there's so many great 90s Universal Films still not released on Blu yet and they pick this from the catalog?! While I love this movie, was anyone really begging for a Blu release? C'mon Universal we need The Getaway, Judgment Night & Demon Knight!

Oh....

Reality Bites was released in theaters the year before I graduated from college, and, to an extent, it was quite an accurate depiction of my own life during that time.

I have some reservations when it comes to nostalgizing about one of the worst times of my life, when I was sending resumes right and left after college graduation and not finding anything for months, but I'll probably pull the trigger on this simply because I love Winona Ryder's movies from this era.

(I was much more similar to Ben Stiller's character than I was to Ethan Hawke's back then. Figures...)

I couldn't wait for this, so I have it in HDX, but if this gets a 3.5 pq or better, I'm sure I'll get the blu anyway. Maybe just under $10, though.

^ Love it! I'm so glad they kept he original poster art. In fact, all of Universal's upcoming catalogue titles keep the original poster art -- I wish more studios would do this.

Apparently Stiller supervised the transfer himself, so I doubt that will happen.

This is one of those movies that I'm embarrassed to say I never got around to watching when I was in high school in the early 90's!

To make matters even worse, I'm a big fan of all 3 leads!

Well now that I'm older I should hopefully appreciate this time capsule of my teen years. Will give it a spin.
