HENRY FOOL Trilogy Boxed-Set
Henry Fool (first time in HD!), Fay Grim, and Ned Rifle—together for ever—in a boxed-set and subtitled in five languages. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...logy-boxed-set Quote:
I can't see this selling well at that price point. I'd imagine they'll be trying to unload these after a few months at a discount. Last edited by dex14; 05-14-2018 at 11:48 AM. |

Update #37:
I have been working on the non-fiction film WHERE TO LAND so I could include it as part of the Trilogy Boxed-Set. But I have stopped for now because the work of subtitling the three feature films in five languages has proven to be more challenging than we expected. I want to make sure we do that well and that we can ship the Trilogy at the end of November as promised. The work on the Trilogy is progressing but it takes all of my time and energy. So I am not going to include WHERE TO LAND in the Boxed-Set. I will continue work on it once we complete the Trilogy and deliver all the rewards to you backers. Once WHERE TO LAND is completed, it will be available for free to all $100 tier and higher backers from halhartley.com. But the Trilogy boxed-set will include the very excellent and rarely seen shorter documentary, Making Fay Grim (or How Do You Spell Espionage?). It will be subtitled in all the languages. And there will be another, very short film of us shooting Ned Rifle which has almost no dialogue. Making Fay Grim is the most informed and in-depth discussion of the Trilogy yet made - even though Ned Rifle had not yet been shot or even written! But we talk about the third film - which would not be made for another seven years. Edited and produced by Kyle Gilman, it is also the best study of how I work on set with actors and crew. After all this, I will be better able to make WHERE TO LAND. Thanks. Hal |

The box set is now listed on halhartley.com, but I don't see any way to order it.

I received one of the kickstarter rewards in the mail yesterday, the "After the Catastrophe" cd.
![]() The cd also came with a halhartley.com sticker and included a note with the following: Quote:

It is now available for purchase from HalHartley.com and Amazon. http://halhartley.com/productions/de...y-Fool-Trilogy
I'll wait until they inevitably try to discount the hell out of it because they aren't selling at this price. |

Thanks for the heads up. I'm in the same boat as you though. I'd like this but there is no way I could justify it at that price. |

I'm curious how the framing of "Henry Fool" compares to the DVDs. The UK DVD was "director approved" at 1.33 (but was NTSC to PAL), the US DVD was cropped to 1.78 from a fullscreen version (not sure if it was the same fullscreen version), and apparently the theatrical OAR was 1.66.

Wow, that is exciting, I didn't know this was released.
I'd also prefered if this was getting a regular Criterion or Artificial Eye release cause the price is way too high. I will probably get it sooner or later though, gonna wait for some reviews/opinions first. |
