DVDBeaver have it down as locked, although they're not as reliable as members and reviewers on our site. Shame if it is as the older Sony release is region free and it probably means the other titles in the Supreme Series will be locked too.

I think it might be locked indeed considering the included subtitles (English (SDH), English, French, Spanish). Older release had way more subtitles for other regions.

I am still waiting for the UK release announcement. Hope it doesn't take long.

DVD Beaver isn't a very reliable source. They had it wrong before. We should wait for more confirmations. BTW, I noticed that the international release doesn't include a Dolby Atmos track, but a DTS-HD Master Audio track. Here's the backcover of the Scandinavian release (the official German Sony website lists the same specifications).

I just read a comment at amazon.de about this new release, that it's indeed the 4K remaster but it contains only a lossy English Dolby digital 5.1!

Nachdem es im Vorfeld der Veröffentlichung der neuen Deluxe Edition zu einem Hin und Her bezüglich der Information kam, ob das neue 4K Master der ebenfalls neuen US Version genutzt wird, kann ich definitiv bestätigen, dass die deutsche Deluxe Edition doch das 4K Master nutzt. Ich selbst war bis zum Schluss skeptisch, da die ansonsten recht gut informierte Website bluray-disc de nach eigenem Nachfragen bei Sony zum Thema 4K Master eine News gebracht hatte, dass dieses bei der deutschen Version nicht genutzt wird. Ich hatte überlegt die Vorbestellung zu stornieren, entschied mich jedoch dagegen, da ich sie noch zu einem günstigeren als dem derzeitigen Preis geordert hatte und wollte sie dann im Falle eines simplen Repacks zurückschicken. Da ich die "Deluxe Edition" heute erhalten habe, möchte ich hiermit direkt meine vorherige Rezension korrigieren. Ich werde die Blu Ray am Wochenende sichten und werde dann hier noch im Detail berichten, was sich im Bereich Bild und Ton im Vergleich zur alten Blu Ray getan hat (leider hat die neue Version keinen unkomprimierten PCM 5.1 Ton mehr, sondern nur noch Dolby Digital 5.1). Ich habe auch mal ein Bild der Rückseite der neuen Deluxe Edition hochgeladen, auf der diese auch mit "Mastered in 4K" beworben wird.

So, I guess all the European versions and steelbooks will be the same?

This is not true. It contains a lossy German soundtrack, which is what the German consumer is unhappy with. The specifications on Blu-ray.com's database for the European releases are correct. Here is confirmation:

Ah Ok then.
So, it's missing extras comparing to the US disc , if that Spanish link lists all the extras on the disc in complete detail, as you say.
(by the way, I don't know any Spanish)

i know the scandinavian version has the 4K Master mention on the backcover and i also think the US has it like that. So in every release there is no mention of 4K on the frontcover but there is on backcover
