Canadian ITunes Codes not available. Can I...?

I´d like to buy some movies on ITunes Canada because they´re only available in that store in HD.

Unfortunately I can´t find a webpage who offers codes for Canada.

Ebay Canada only has ITunes-US codes

This website also hasn´t got any Canadian codes: https://www.itunescode.de/itunes-karten/kanada

My question is: Can I buy movies from the ITunes Canada Store with ITunes-US codes?

For some yes, it all depends on the studio releasing the codes.

Foxredeem.com codes will only work for US. I'm pretty sure universal codes work for either, but you won't know till you try. Don't know if that's helpful or not.

No, you can't. You can buy digital codes that work in both stores, but iTunes gift cards are limited to select stores.

My question was in regards of "codes" not gift cards.

I always buy "codes"-no gift cards

So I will try it with a 10 dollars US-code. Then I see whether I can buy a ITunes movie from the Canada Store.

The movies I´d like to buy are from Studio Canal. That´s a French company who made some with the big French actors(Lino Ventura, de Funes, Belmondo or Delon).

The 'iTunes codes' and 'gift cards' are the same thing. Both are codes that you enter into iTunes.

The codes I was referring are the type that come with Blu-ray discs. It's easy enough to buy Canadian iTunes codes from members though.

Sorry, if I ask you again about it because a friend of mine would buy the movies. So I´m not an expert regarding that topic.

My friend(German guy like me) did a registration(opened an account) on ITunes Canada.

Then I tried to buy the Canadian codes for buying films in HD. That didn´t work because I couldn´t buy any codes regarding the Canadian ITunes store.

One user said I can buy a movie from the Canada Store with an US-code but it depends on the movie.

Is that correct?

What do you mean by saying you can buy Canadian codes by members?
What members and how can I buy them?

For instance: As a huge Bronson fan I´d like to buy that movie because in other ITunes Stores you don´t get the movie in HD.

Can I buy that movie from the ITunes Canada Store with a code from the US-ITunes Store?

The movie is from Studio Canal-a famous French company.

The movie Bronson is distributed in Canada by Alliance so the code will not work. Generally any movie by Disney, universal or paramount will work in Canada as long as he movie is not distributed by alliance, EOne or some other Canadian distributor

There is only a valid iTunes code if the bluray distributor of the movie includes it with the bluray

You can get ITunes cards for every ITunes Store(Germany, Japan, France, Spain, Italy etc).

But you can´t get ITunes cards for the Canada store? On that card is the code.

How can I get the card that´s shown on that link?

Okay. I'll make this more clear.

There are two types of codes. Codes for specific movies and codes for store credit.

Codes for specific movies come in Blu-ray packs or special promotions. Some of these are valid for the Canadian store even if they come in US Blu-rays or promotions.

Codes for store credit are only ever valid in the country they're purchased. So, for example, US store credit will only ever work in the US iTunes store. It doesn't matter if you purchase it as a code or a gift card, it won't work in Canada.

If you want to buy movies in the Canadian store, you need to buy Canadian iTunes store credit, either in Canada, or from someone who bought it in Canada. That's what you would need for the movies you're referencing.

Yep, I just wanted to make it clear since most people in this thread thought you meant digital copy codes, not iTunes codes.

I'm not aware of many sites that offer Canadian codes. The few that do usually require a Canadian billing address. But, you can probably find a member who lives in Canada to buy them for you. Just depends on what you're willing to pay.
