Just received an email from Vudu...

Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection is currently on sale for $99.99 & includes a $15 Vudu Credit ($85 effective cost).

Must purchase with PayPal or CC to get $15 credit...

I read on another forum that you can't get this promotion with VUDU credits. Has to be paid for via PyPal or credit card for the full $99.99 to get the 15 bucks.

So I can't use a $5 credit I have to get the $15 credit for the bundle? What a load of crap. Just discount it to $85. This is ridiculous anyway, for digital copies.

I was going to purchase it from Vudu with this promo, but had a bad feeling about it. Glad I searched in here to check. I'll get it from Google Play then, where it's $10 cheaper... I have Google Play credit to use. No money out of pocket for me...

I wouldn't consider this deal $85 effective cost, if you have to pay for it in full, since you can buy $15 in Vudu credits for about half that... You're still out $100. The credits you'll eventually get are essentially worth 8 bucks...

Just so you guys know New Hope is UV enabled NOT DMA.

So if you buy on Google Play etc. you WILL NOT get it in Vudu etc, unless GP joins UV.

Only places to get New Hope UV is Vudu, Cinemanow, and MGO I think.

Fox owns distribution rights to new hope indefinitely I believe, that is why it is UV.

You are correct in a new hope not being Dma but I did get it on iTunes. I bought the bundle on iTunes(gift cards 20% off) on sale for 89.99 and was able to buy a new hope on Vudu with credits so I now have a complete set on both.(Dma linked to Vudu). Was the cheapest way I saw to get it cause I use both services.

If I purchased this bundle from MGO, will it show up in my VUDU library? I did it earlier today, but it never showed up so I called and they said only "The New Hope" is UV enabled. I didn't think that was correct, but asked for a refund until I know for sure it will show up.

Yes, only A New Hope is UV. The other 5 are DMA, and MGO is not linkable to DMA. So if you want it on Vudu, buy them on Vudu, not MGO.
