I'm looking for a Blu-ray Player that supports 24p for Netflix/Vudu and RGB Full Range colorspace (using a 23" monitor for a display, don't have a TV in my bedroom). I tried out a Sony BDP-S6500 but pure black looks dark gray and it looks a bit washed out through my monitor but not through a TV. My Xbox One supports RGB Full Range colorspace but does not support 24p for Netfix and Vudu.

Smart TV’s with 120Hz and 240Hz refresh rates in general have Netflix and VUDU apps built in that support 24fps automatically. For 120Hz displays the repeating frame rate method is used 5 times when the frame interpolation motion feature is turned off. For 240Hz displays the repeating frame rate is used 10 times when the frame interpolation motion feature is turned off. Some 4K Smart TV’s also offer Netflix 4K streaming and VUDU 4K streaming.
All or most existing 1080P Blu-ray players have VUDU and Netflix apps built in that convert native 24fps material to 60Hz. The most recent 2015 Blu-ray player models also only support 1080P streaming. It is possible that maybe the first generation 2016 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray players might support both Netflix and VUDU at 4K with 24fps. Consumers will need to wait for a professional review once the new players are released to verify. Your best option now for streaming would be to purchase a Roku 4. The Roku 4 supports up to 4K streaming at 24fps for both Netflix and VUDU. |

I have a projector that is 240Hz so it does 24fps fine. I bought a Roku 3 but ended up taking it back because even though I liked it alot, especially interface, I couldn't justify it when my blu-ray player has the app. It doesn't handle Netflix as well but still. Knowing the 4 supports 24fps though......I might be back into the Roku.
