Default 4K Ultra HD UHD Blu-ray

Now that more studios are releasing 4K UHD Blu-rays titles, are we now supposed to stop buying blu-rays and start buying 4K UHD titles all over again??

hasn't this been beaten to death?

no.

most likely the only thing that will change is that, if you have the equipment, you'll be "expected" to buy new releases on 4K.

It'll be a very long time before even a fraction of current blu-rays are rereleased on 4K.

If you plan on switching to UHD one day and every studio includes a standard Blu-ray copy with their releases, just buy new movies on UHD BD. Then when you do get all the necessary equipment, look at reviews and choose which films you want to buy again. That's most likely what I'll be doing.

Lolol I feel like there's 3 new threads opening up abut this every day.

Maybe it's because the conversation in the main thread is getting too technical?

It's difficult to tell, but from the pictures I see, it APPEARS that the new 4K movie cases are TALLER than the bluray cases. They appear to be about the size of DVD cases.

Can anyone confirm or correct me on this?
