Default TNT's "Legends" Discussion (2014-2015)

http://www.tntdrama.com/shows/legends.html

Coming on August 13th on TNT, Legends is a new Thriller based on a deep cover agent (Sean Bean as Martin Odum) and his uncanny ability to assume new identities, and some memory problems to boot.

Also featuring Ali Larter (Heroes), Morris Chestnut (V), Tina Majorino (Veronica Mars), Steve Harris (The Practice) and Amber Valletta (Hitch)

Some of my favorite actors and a theme I love, can't wait

PS: And Sean Bean is the main actor! They can't kill him (at worst, he could get cancelled). Seaaaaaaaannn!!

They'll find a way to kill him and bring him back like the last show he did.

Looks pretty interesting. TNT is really stepping up their game: Falling Skies, The Last Ship...along with Murder in the First make for a pretty solid core line up.

Bump

Reminder this premieres tonight

It was also available On Demand and via TNT's website for those who want to get a head start.

I'm excited for this show. Looks fun like The Last Ship and it has a good creative team behind it.

Anyone catch the premiere last night?

I thought it was a good start. I am very curious to see how it unfolds. sean Bean is the man!

Cheers!

I liked it too.

Little action and suspense. It looks like Martin Odum is essentially an older version of Jason Bourne. Good to see Sean Bean back and alive on TV. I liked how the TNT promos during the episode poked fun at him being killed off a lot on screen.

Perpetually killed-off actor Sean Bean won't yet have to worry about the chopping block for his new series. Legends had a very respectable opening for TNT on Wednesday night, grossing 3.6 million viewers with two airings.

The inaugural 9 p.m. telecast scored 2.6 million viewers. And while that doesn't exactly seem like the most exciting figure, it pulled that number without any established series lead-in.

Among adults 25-54, Legends nabbed 1.1 million viewers for the night — with 1 million viewers falling into the adults 18-49 demo.

TNT has been topping the basic cable charts all summer, besting closest rival USA among total viewers.

I've watched the first two episodes and while the trailers for this series look promising, it's like the most boring TV series I have ever watched. I've enjoyed Sean bean's work but this series just didn't pull it off. The first episode was interesting, but the second episode, ugh. I'll just go back to watching the Bourne Trilogy and the James Bond films.

Decided to drop it after 1 episode. I really like Sean Bean, but everything fell flat in the pilot. Action scenes were particularly terrible.

I've watched all 3 episodes so far and while it's not great, it's not bad either. It's definitely watchable.

I kind of like the whole Legends thing with Martin struggling with those identities and his real identity. It has a good supporting cast with Larter, Harris, Chestnut and Majorino. Plus, this is from Howard Gordon and one of the Producers of Fringe David Wilcox, who is the day to day showrunner.

I know that summer is winding down now and new and returning Fall shows are starting up in a few weeks. So some of these summer dramas may have to get cut from your schedule if they don't grab you. But, I think this is worth watching all 10 episodes to see where it heads, especially if you're a fan of Bean and Gordon's work on 24.

The first few episodes were a bit slow, but it's picking up as the main idea of Odom finding out who he really is gets explored. I would suggest watching a few more episodes, as I wanted to stop after the first few as well.

This has me intrigued...
Is Rice from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles or from 24?

Did anyone catch the season finale of this yesterday evening? I thought it sets up the new season pretty well. I hope they get another season.

I'm hoping too

Agreed with most opinions here, that the first few episodes were a bit dragging. BUt then it really caught on I thought; I hope it gets a renewal

Interesting: http://www.zap2it.com/blogs/legends_...riller-2014-04 the creator intended for 7 seasons for the show to run its course.
Whether that happens of course is dependent on ratings; but hopefully at least it gets another season or two to round up the story

Definitely!
Its a bit slow first few episodes in, but give it a chance as it does get much more entertaining as it progresses
