United Kingdom Wreck It Ralph UK Blu-ray?

Is Disney going to release Wreck It Ralph on Blu-ray in UK any time this year?

I see that in US they have the Collector's Edition, but nothing so far and if it would've had Amazon would have for sale.

Yes they will but remember our theatrical release was 3 months after the US so we can expect the UK BD release around May/June.

The US release is down to about £15/16 and is region free so why not import?

As the others have said we're a bit behind, it is odd that it doesn't have a release date yet.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition for $19.99 and it arrived a less than 2 weeks after release with Standard Shipping. It has jumped in price now so it's over the £15 limit so you'd have upgrade to Expedited Shipping just in case your package gets stopped by customs. If it clears customs without getting stopped you'll get your deposit back.

It'll probably be June, as so far it's had pretty much the same US/UK release pattern as The Muppets last year.

I saw somewhere else, which gets release at the same time as the UK, is getting in September so that seems like a good guess to me. Since June is only 2 months away, I doubt that it'd come that fast without being announced.

Yeah I'm really surprised that this hasn't been announced yet. I was expecting June/July. Really trying to stop myself from ordering the US blu.

The UK blu ray will most likely be lame compared to the US one.

I would be surprised if they are not identical at least content wise, not like the US release is over flowing with extras lol

1 disc and a hint, but no guarantee, of a slip? Hmmm, not too sure about that. Might just import US version.

Classic No. 51 on the spine, I guess that finally completely solves the mystery over whether Winnie the Pooh is considered a classic in the UK or not.

Or it further emphasizes the fact that Disney UK can't count.

I'm not sure what my opinions have been in the past but at the moment I wish they would dump the idea. Fine if they're going to release everything from 1-50 but I don't think they ever will. I wouldn't mind reversible covers or the opportunity to buy numberless ones (which all match from Disney), if Disney US can sell slip covers, case and sleeve art for $3.95 then I'm sure the UK branch could do the same. Heck I'd probably be very happy to pay 4-5 pounds for new covers, case and artwork!

I notice full-colour 2D disc art on that release. The UK one may probably be getting solid Blu for the 2D disc, but I think that's the first Disney BD disc to have full disc artwork, rather than the usual 'one side blue, other side artwork' pattern.

EDIT: Read another thread on here, turns out that the Aladdin thread shown that the Aladdin BD in Germany has full disc artwork and was posted before this thread. My bad.

3D version is up as well - £18.19. Not too bad considering most Disney 3D blu-rays have started at around £22 lately.

Given that Breaking Bad and Django were announced ages ago, I didn't think there was a chance we'd see it in June, let alone June 3rd! Great news!

This also happens to be the weekend that I come back from uni/when I'm going to be ordering my first bunch of blus since the end of January. Will be nice to have WIR as part of that haul

2D won't, 3D will. Interesting that they've swapped the 2D artwork for the 3D and vice versa over here. Annoying about the classic no. 51, though. I would've have waited had I known.
