Paris, Texas (1984) Blu-ray

I was so impressed with Wings Of Desire, then the review here, plus the cast of PT...seems like a no-brainer, so I pre-ordered along with Jack's Wolf, and Bobby D.'s Frankenstein. Yes I know they have nothing in common with Paris, Texas, just what I wanted this shopping trip.

Paris, Texas is a perfect film in my opinion -- If I could only watch five films for the rest of my life this would be one of them. My copy is already on order. I was too young to see it in theatres, so I can't wait to watch it on my big screen.

I hate to say this...but I initially wanted to order both this and Che with a gift certificate from Amazon, that I got for Christmas...

As hard as it is becoming for me...I'm going to try to wait until the next Barnes and Noble Criterion sale (50% off), which should happen anytime bewteen March and June (probably closer to June).

I'll keep an eye out anyway...both of these might get closer to 50% off before then (you never know with Amazon

Paris TX is probably in my top 10 films of all time, along with Days of Heaven. Needless to say Criterion is making all my dreams come true with these 2 releases

does paris, tx have more of a narrative than wings of desire? i originally wanted to buy... but after renting it and watching no thanks. are all wim's movies all over the place w/the narrative?

I worked in a theater as an usher when this was released and stood at the back of the auditorium and watched it on a huge screen about 100 times. I couldn't have imagined that I see it looking that good ever again...until now.

just received my copy and can't wait to watch it. Y'all are saying some good things about it. Does anyone know if this is ok to watch with the wife? She doesn't like nudity in movies.
