United Kingdom The Tim Burton Collection - Now £25!

It seems this thread went missing during the database crash, so I've started a new one.

I don't know if anyone's been into an HMV store this week, but they've halved the price of the set to £25, so I nabbed it the moment I saw it and I have to say it's a pretty nice set. The only downside is the way the discs are packaged, because it's like a digipak, but there aren't any spindals to hold the discs in place, so they're almost resting on top of each other. Other than that for 8 films it comes to around £3, which is a bargain in my book.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a limited offer, so if anyone is interested get it now whilst it's cheap.

It does however seem this set is no longer available online at HMV.

Picked up instore on Saturday. As you say was sold out online last Friday.
Talking to the girl at the till, this is now clearance as was an HMV exclusive and stores have been told to sell off what stock they have left at 50% off.

I'm the same if it was under £18 I'd probably buy it. £25 is too much for 4-5 films and a nice box....

Same here, and the reason I don't own the others is because I didn't want them in the first place!

This set might actually be the best way to get Batman/Batman Returns since those appear to be OOP

It seems like this set will also be OOP within the next month or so.

I wouldn't be surprised if WB released an epic Batman box set latter this year with all 7 films since the 1989 film, hence why the Burton and Schumacher films are hard to come by now.

I expect the box to go OOP in days or a few weeks max. They are down to what stock is left in store and many are already sold out.

Yeah tried to get this today, nothing. Oh well. Already have the Batman set but would be a cheap way of getting the other 6 films

I realise this is a little old now but can anyone confirm if the discs are the same as the standard releases e.g. does 'Batman' include the commentary, docus, music videos, etc. that are on the standalone Blu? Thanks,

I'm pretty sure they're the same discs.

Great, thanks. I managed to pick this up for just shy of £18 via Flubit, which seemed very reasonable to me.

could anyone please post some pics of the inside? I would love to see if it's worth getting even though i have all of the discs. I'm a huge Tim Burton fan so I wouldn't mind adding it to the collection if the packaging is nice. Also whats the booklet like? Thank you in advance if anyone can help.
