Retail Update - Blu-ray Forum

I am calling out to all my fellow retail workers to give some insight on how the sony and samsung have been doing at the sub 300 price point. I know they were advertised in the sunday circuit and best buy add, just seeing if you saw any extra traffic or questions on blu players. Where I work we are selling the sony and samsung very well. Just wanted to get a feel for how these prices are going.

I don't know about standalones, but here in Canada the PS3s seem to be flying off the shelves... also I went into Best Buy here to see if I could find Pirates 3, HP or Blade Runner... all 3 were sold out on Blu.

awesome, on that note I went into circuit city and they only had one spiderman trilogy left, where previously the entire bottom of the blu section was filled with them. Pirates three was also down to about 3 copies, but they could have had more in the stock room though.

the BD players are moving quick at the new price point...

customers that don't even know much about HDM even say "well, yeah I know Blu-ray is better than HD-DVD"...

it's hilarious when they don't even know why....the word on the street is just that BD is "better" ahaha...

I talked to someone who purchased a BD player at a store last week and actually reminded him that he should get the slip for his 5 free movies....

he didn't know about the studio support or anything....just that "Blu is better"...

this is the sort of thing we were afraid of people saying about HD-DVD with all the FUD articles running around..

but this guy was your average J6P and he didn't know much.....except that 1 thing
