Default For PS3 Owners Only

[if you're using the composite cables + scart adapter block that come with a euro PS3, vote composite]
[if you're using a DVI to HDMI cable or adapter, vote HDMI]

I was wondering, for all of you out there that own a Playstation 3, which type of AV cables do you use to hook-up your PS3?

HDMI
Component
Composite

Did I miss any?

Just wanted to ask because even with all this talk about HD in BD being the greatest, you can't really experience it unless the optimum AV cables are used right? It made realize that there are a slew of new PS3 owners as a result of the astounding sales numbers for the month of November and you can't help but wonder how many of those new owners actually are using the AV capabilities of the PS3 to its potential in order to visualize what HD really is.

What do you guys think?

I use HDMI through my Onkyo 805 receiver, and HDMI to my Sony 50" SXRD tv. I get great picture and lossless audio this way.

I'm using HDMI (cheap monoprice cable, works great), so I get digital video and audio through one cable into my TV.

I use HDMI from my PS3 to my Sony STR-DG810 surround sound receiver and HDMI from my receiver to my 60" A2000 SXRD. With this setup I get beyond HD (1080p video/lossless audio).

I'm stuck with component until I upgrade my projector. Don't know when that will be though. Possibly a few years out still (if I can wait that long)

HDMI and (unfortunately) I require an optical cable for my reciever to get audio, so no lossless audio at home for now.

I think you're asking "who here has a gun" in a pro gun rally. I mean this is a bluray forum so most people(probably all) here are aware that you need extra, "sold separately" cables to experience HD.

Maybe this thread is better for the playstation forums

I really like your posts for some reason. But I use a hair thin generic HDMI cable that came free with my Panasonic DVD player. Not bad.

I was using component cables for the longest time but switched to hdmi. I wanted to check out how good the ps3 could upconvert my dvds compared to my standalone Panasonic upconverting dvd player. It does a great job, picture looks good and not as grainy as my standalone dvd player so im keeping the hdmi cable on my ps3.
