Eh, it looks a bit better than part one I guess. Still going to wait for the complete R-rated version this time.

They've educated me to wait due to the inane release strategy. Looking forward to seeing both of these in the summer.

It looks good. Can't wait to see it.

I just found out that Walmart has some Rebel Moon action figures in stock. I might go pick 1 up.

Music is the language of the rebels. Songs of the Rebellion: An EP inspired by Rebel Moon. Available April 5th on all music streaming platforms.

Netflix means business. The IP is here to stay. At least 2 new comics were confirmed recently and Snyder also said on Joe Rorgan´s show, I think, that he finished directing an animated short. The novelization of Part 2 got delayed by 2 months so there is something in the director´s cut script that Netflix isn´t interested in becoming part of the conversation around release. The sequel hook?

Seems like part 2 isn't getting the 70mm or any theatrical release. It's a shame, though when I saw part 1 in 70mm, there were a ton of issues with the projection. Seeing just a DCP theatrically would be so much better for this than watching on Netflix at home.

Yeah, I keep checking The Paris Theater’s showtimes to see if it will play there like the first did, and nothing so far. I canceled Netflix a couple years ago because of their raised rates, and that almost all their big movies play theatrically and I prefer that experience anyway (Extraction 2 on the big screen for instance was quite the spectacle).

I wonder if the changed Oscar requirements this year (I think has to be like 10 theaters now, so Netflix can’t just put films in the two theaters they own for a week and be Oscar eligible) and the first film missing a visual effects nomination (which honestly even as a mixed bag film I thought it really deserved) made them decide not to bother with a theatrical release.

Netflix massively scaled back the marketing for this one, compared to Part 1. Cutting their losses I guess.

Yup, Rebel Moon was mediocre and I wouldn't have finished it after realizing how bored I was if it weren't a Snyder project.

Apparently it didn’t do the viewing numbers they were hoping, so I can see why they’re not going the same prestige route like the first.

Seems like this is going to have the same fate as Army of the Dead.

I still haven't watched the first part, although I do intend to. Kind of waiting to see if anything does happen with this touted uncut version. I wonder if after the lacklustre reception, it will be quietly forgotten about.

They had some pretty grand plans for this. Games, Toys, and comics.

Most of it seems to have faded out. I wonder what they try next with Snyder or if they will just end the relationship.

The prequel comic is still there and published. The final issue (#4) comes out the first week of May. The first Art of Book came out 2 weeks ago and they have another one coming out in a couple of months. Publishing is very much there.

But Snyder said more people saw the first film than Barbie?
