I know circuit city honors any price change within 30 days. If they tell you no, tell they you will return it and rebuy it at the sale price. That should work.

Best buy annoys me. I had to argue for 15 minutes w/ a manager over 40 cents when they took a $5.00 manufacturers coupon off the price after they charged me tax not before. She insited that's just the way they do manufaturers coupons.

I've stopped going to BB because their prices suck. Amazon always beats them and you usually get free shipping. With BB, they'll give you free shipping on some titles but the prices are higher. Their latest BOGO wasn't nearly as good as Amazon's in both price and selection.

Absolutely you have a 30 day price match guarantee. I asked Cris and he told me that statement is in a sign posted above customer service.

Their return policy is even better during the holiday season. I purchased a Tom Tom GPS from my GFs birthday Nov 3rd. The receipt stated that I had until the end of Jan to return it during the holiday season. On black friday the GPS dropped $100 in price - I stopped by last week with the receipt and they credited me the difference no questions asked.

It also depends on what you paid with.
Many credit cards have "price protection" built in. If you used one of these cards (American Express, Most Chase Cards), you can tell the manager, "fine, I will dispute the charge." Go home, dispute said amount using the online form, and the credit card will not give them ANY money until it is settled. You HAVE to try to deal with someone in person first, and I highly suggest getting that persons name to include in the body of the dispute field. Most stores will not want to deal with this, as if they don't take care of it within a certain amount of time (and pull said money) they may lose the ENTIRE amount of the sale. =) |
