To be honest, I rarely wait for blus to drop. If it's a film I truly love, I will buy it day one. Yet that's not to say that I haven't had a couple of purchases that now seem exorbitant in retrospect. Here's two...

KATY PERRY: PART OF ME
Bought this the first week it was released when it was at full price (if I recall it was in the $15-20 range). I took one look at Katy in her stockings, singing in her mirror, and said "I have to have this"! Now they can't give this thing away...



JAMES BOND BLU-RAY COLLECTION (RECENT WHITE BOX EDITION)
I actually knew I was overpaying when I bought this, but I thought, why not. I had never owned the Bond films in one complete bundle and I liked the compact look of this recent set since it still included a wealth of extras. I paid around $129 a few months ago at Best Buy. I now see it sits at the top of this site's Best Deals lineup for under $80. And I think even Best Buy now dropped it to a similar price. Not a big deal really but certainly far lower than what I paid for it.
