LED Projector Help

Im new to bluray.com
I was hoping that maybe i could get some help with something that i have no knowledge of?.
I bought an affordable projector and a screen after reading about it on bluray.com.
When i played my first movie it looked very grainy.
reds looked slightly pink.
blues looked strange.
skin colors looked terrible.
tint is grayed out.
I read the guide that came with it and it really didnt help much.
I looked at the menu settings
Picture mode i understood because my tv has that.
but i have no idea what color temp, backlight and color range are and how it helps.
what is red green and blue?.
Im just looking for help with viewing movies in decent colors.
I would apreciate any advise or help.
