Hey folks, thought it might be a good idea to share my building of the 1:1 scale model replica of the Millennium Falcon. This part-work series comes from DeAgostini and lasts 100 issues over 2 years. Yup it's really gonna take that long to build and by the time it's finished we'd have already seen Episode 7 plus the first SW spin-off movie and we'll be awaiting the release of Episide 8 in theatres.

I'll be uploading monthly photos of the collection plus a few pics of the parts I have already constructed so here we go.......

ISSUE 1

"A look at the rear of Issue 1 packaging"

"Each issue has detailed guides and SW info"

"Each issue also has guides how to build every part"

"Issue 1 comes with a 1:1 scale blueprint - you can get a scale of just how big this will be when finished by the size comparison of the Blu-Ray SW Steelbook"

"Subscribe and get free gifts"

1:1 scale???

Doesn't that mean that the thing will be bigger than most houses?

Now... if they were to do this with the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D... my wife would probably divorce me for neglecting her completely! Between films and video games and work, I'm already thin on time as it is!

It's a 1:1 scale model of the model used in Empire Strikes Back.

Wow.... That is pricey!!! Over time it doesn't seem like so much, I need to see how a similar kit would cost.

I would love to do this but 1,400.00 over a 2 year time span to complete it. It is an awesome piece but it would have to be a little cheaper and you get the whole kit at once for me to bite. It is very cool though.

Just finished building the underside of the hull on mine. Will start adding paint soon.

That's looking great already. Wish I had more time to devote to this project. Between my lenticulars and groupbuys I just can't squeeze it in, yet. I must have around 35 issues still bagged up unopened (god I hope there's no dented parts lol).
