Rumors: God Of War 3 For Holidays 2008

"The rumor says that the next installment in the revered franchise has been pseudo-announced, and SCEA's Santa Monica team is already slaving away on God of War 3. It seems they're working hard to deliver this guaranteed blockbuster by holidays 2008, which would be very good news for PS3 owners."

Please note this has not yet been confirmed by Sony.

The PS3 has enough going on in 08 anyway. Q2 09 would be just fine.

This has already (inadvertently) been debunked.

We were recently able to get confirmation for the release of God of War 3. After speaking to the developers at the Video Game Awards, they confirmed with us, that the long assumed date of 2009. The title will support 1080p graphics and will have both sixaxis and rumble support. Unfortunately, we have little more info that we care share with you at this date; however, please check back for updates, as new information comes in.

The 1080p, rumble, etc. comments are similar to what Cory Barlog said at the launch of GoW2.
