New Here - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,

I've had a PS3 60 GB for a few months now but just now started getting into the blu ray side of things. I had a HD-DVD player for the Xbox 360 but sold it. Really enjoying my 1080p tv and Blu Ray movies. Will be making some blu ray purchases soon. Any recommendations of must have movies on blu ray??

Welcome!!! The Harry Potter Collection is great. I put in Blade Runner to check out the PQ and AQ and it looks great as well. The Stanley Kubrick collection completely blew me away.

Casino Royale seems like it is a top film on many people list as well as a CGI movie like cars.

Hello and welcome.

I would say if you don't mind the subtitles, Apocalypto is definatly refference quality. I would also reccommend the remastered Fifth Element(Look for the Dolby True HD logo to be sure it's the remastered version).

Welcome. I'd recommend going to the movies section here, and checking out the top rated or best sellers links. Those should give you some good ideas.

Casino Royale and Apocolypto are my two favorite BDs. And 300 of course...

There are tons of BD movies that are reference material , just the few that have been named are all very good. Get Super Bad its 1.85.1 with PCM audio & funny as $hit!!
