Man, I thought this was John Woo making a film adaption of that Rockstar snuff film game.

...that said, this does look pretty good anyway.

Haven't heard anything good about this one.

Apart from Red Cliff, Woo hasn't done anything truly worthwhile since the 90s (and I'm actually not a fan of Face/Off).

Pretty much. I need to revisit "Face/Off", I remember not really being that impressed with it. Paycheck, Windtalkers, uggh bad movies.

As an aside, if you like Ringo Lam, he did a movie a few years back "Wild City" that was fun.

Action sequences are engaging enough, but this is definitely lesser John Woo. 2.5/5
