Japan 進撃の巨人 1 & 2 [Attack on Titan: Parts I & II] (2015)

Toho has released the live action film adaptions based on the popular manga Attack on Titan. I am making this thread to just kinda vent. I am waiting for the U.S. release which is still not here. I did manage to see both films in theaters but, ugh, after seven months can we finally get a home video release? Anywho, there's two Japanese editions for each movie. None of which has English subtitles, typical Toho release.

I really liked both movies. Granted it did take its own liberties with the direction. The whole thing with
[Show spoiler]Mikasa disappearing and being gone most of the first movie was a turn off. Then her being a real "see you next Tuesday" in both movies was another thing that irked me. The fact that Levi/Shikishima is somewhat villain was a head scratcher
. But, I still liked it. The effects felt like they were meant to be a throw back to the like War of the Gargantuas and numerous Godzilla films.
