Has there ever been another show with a wider divergence between the levels of love for its theme song and the show itself? At this point, the song seems to be the show's only memorable element.

That's a surprise, but Mill Creek is definitely not something I'd pre-order from. They either do well or they crap the bed. I'm not sure I'd get this anyway if I'm honest, I watched it back as it aired, was probably the first non-children's thing I ever watched... but I dropped it after they graduated for some reason, never watched s5 or 6... I started watching it a few years ago but just couldn't get past the weird new intro song so I never even made it past that of s1e1 lol Didn't Paula Cole re-record the theme song? They could license the new version if it's something to do with that.

I'm not entirely surprised Mill Creek is doing this, Sony doesn't do a ton of TV on BD, much less a 6 season complete series with 120+ episode.

You must not remember the Sony releases of Married with Children's later seasons on DVD.

Nah. It's a catchy theme song for sure but there are many memorable moments in this show. For me, many of them involve Pacey, but I suppose it depends on how much a person relates to a particular character.

I'm disappointed to see this with Mill Creek but they have surprised us in the past. Here's hoping they'll do it right. As far as the theme song goes, wasn't the original included when Netflix had the 4K restoration not long ago?

I guess it’s possible the original theme song will return. Mill Creek restored Married… with Children’s theme for the entire series after Sony had replaced it for most of the DVDs.

Ideal release for me. My wife wants it, I don't (as much) so might as well save some $$ with a Mill Creek stacker.

Definitely want, but will wait and see how it is packaged. I'll probably hang onto the DVDs if they're stacked or stuffed into cardboard folds.

I have seasons 1-3 and 6 on DVD, have yet to actually watch seasons 4 and 5 lol. I’ll wait to see the price and reviews. If they do use the original theme, I wonder if it’ll be the original recording or the re-recording that I believe is on Netflix?

Happy this is finally coming out. Hopefully will be able to import this into Canada. Not happy Mill Creek is heading this up, but you get what you get in this life. I just look forward to the lack of crap Netflix compression algorithm making some scenes look really weird. I watched the first two seasons on Netflix and it was a bittersweet experience.

I remember loving Pacey and watching it but I think I stopped around season 4 getting too busy in life and never watched more. I don't think I would like it much now though.

Mill Creek? Doubt they're putting up the money for the theme. Might get it, but they will probably cram too many episodes on too few discs.

I, too, thought I wouldn't like it as much now as I did back then, but I was wrong. There's something thoroughly enjoyable about this kind of nostalgia, and while some of it is rather silly (now that I am much older) I'd say the vast majority of it still holds up.

I'm not too concerned about the theme song but that second bit is exceptionally annoying because it's just so damn unnecessary. Especially since they're getting these things from Sony, they should really put in the effort and give fans a good release. Ultimately our opinions don't matter, of course, but we can still complain about it.

Mill Creek is Sony's main licensing partner. Most likely the same for Universal as well.

Does anyone know why the song was re-recorded for Netflix? I wonder if it was some legal reason (like maybe the record label was asking too much and Paula offered to re-record it directly for Sony).
