Fantastic, I love this film. I did wonder why Warner didn't release it to coincide with The Revenant, but better late than never.

You had to figure this was coming. I just revisited my double feature DVD (will be glad to get rid of that thing), and flashbacks aside this is a wonderful movie that hews even closer to the facts than the more-celebrated The Revenant (which I loved.)

Will be curious to see if we get any extras with this one.

And here I'm thinking The Revenant was an original idea. Plot to this film sounds word for word like The Revenant. Actually, it doesn't sound like it - it is! I hate the way studios dig this stuff out only after someone remakes the film and it makes tons of money/wins awards. Needless to say I'll be blind buying this.

Surprising that this is actually come from WHV, correct? Looking forward to it, hope they at least reinstate the Warner Kinney Logo at the beginning, really fed up with the Logo plastering done by WHV for their Blu Rays, aside from some exceptions.

I blind bought this because it's based on the same story as The Revenant but...

[Show spoiler]they lost me at HAVING THE BEAR ATTACK DONE BY A GUY WEARING A BEAR SUIT. That was pathetic. I mean, they also used a real bear in some shots but there is this little thing called editing which could've made the man in a bear suit and paws on sticks completely unnecessary. I am not against men wearing bear suits... in comedies but with a rating as high as it has I did not expect that sort of thing in this film. Imagine if they did that in The Revenant... I don't think I'm even going to watch the rest of it. What a waste of money. Hope I can sell it on Ebay.

It was made in 1970. They didn't exactly have a ton of other options for some shots without risking the life of the actor.
