Why is Castle (2009) not being released on Blu-ray?

For 8 seasons I have waited and waited for ABC to release Castle on Blu-ray but they never do. Can anybody give me some insight as to why?

Castle is a great show that I watch religiously. But I've noticed that ABC treats it like the annoying little brother that won't go away. They don't do any advertisements in any media outside of TV. They don't advertise on other networks. And they barely advertise on their own network. It must be getting great ratings otherwise they wouldn't renew it. It's a great show and I just don't understand why its treated like its garbage.

ABC treats Castle like CBS is treating their already doomed Rush Hour reboot.
