![]() ![]() Time to let your im@s flag fly! Discuss the franchise in all its glory. Video Games, Music, Anime, Manga, Figures- you name it. I'm awful at starting threads so I'll just chuck in some useful information for those unfamiliar with iDOLM@STER and maybe a song or two ![]() The iDOLM@STER is an idol raising simulator video game franchise in which you select a girl (or group of girls) to then produce and develop into Japan's next music sensation. The games mostly consist of talking with your idol/s between events to develop a bond and trust, taking them to lessons and promotions and performing in auditions, lives and concerts. The iDOLM@STER currently has four anime adaptations. iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia (2007) is a mostly unrelated mecha series featuring the original characters from the first arcade game (so none of the Project Fairy characters later introduced into the early iterations of the franchise). The iDOLM@STER (2011) is a more faithful adaptation within the "2nd Vision" (iDOLM@STER 2 onwards) canon of the games which is the current and well known canon. Puchimas! Petit Idolmaster (2013-2014) is a series of comedy spin-off shorts featuring super-deformed equivalents of the characters. The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls (2015) - currently airing is a spin-off series based off the Cinderella Girls mobile phone game For those interested in playing iDOLM@STER. iDOLM@STER 2 is available on PS3 with an English translated guide online at this link to help you navigate the response options and events which has made the game very much playable to an English audience http://imas2.wota.info/. A similar guide seems to be in the works for iDOLM@STER One For All on PS3- however that game is far more forgiving as it is anyway to play having no time limit so it's easier to go with trial and error on that one if you're impatient. Among the many im@s titles there are also some PSP games accessible to an English speaking audience. The Shiny Festa Rhythm games on PSP are easy to play without any Japanese knowledge (and there are pricey iOS translations of all three if you're willing to shell out anyway) and iDOLM@STER SP- three pre- "2nd Vision" canon games. All identical save for the characters you can play with. One of the three 'Perfect Sun' has a more-or-less completed unofficial English patch. SP is the closest to a proper iDOLM@STER game in English for those interested. Discuss the games, the anime, the songs, or whatever iDOLM@STER related your heart desires. Go ahead and ask any questions too. |

Believe me I'm thrilled that there's other im@s fans on here. I'm very passionate about it as you can see
![]() I'm currently playing with a few ideas for custom slicks to package all 9 iDOLM@STER TV volumes in if I manage to mux subs onto the imports. I'm thinking three cases holding three discs each and I'm between using whole cast art or just individual character art of my 6 favourites one on each side (those images I'm currently trying out on the spines of the whole cast art ideas) [Show spoiler] Basically I just really want the BDs in English even if I have to do it myself... |

Otherwise your best bet is to risk a subpar im@s Blu-Ray and support FUNimation's Puchim@s release (which I'd love to do but with the current exchange rate I'm in no position to support any US release...) Who is your favourite idol though? EDIT: Got all three done for my first idea for the covers, still super rough. And I couldn't fit all the characters into the second two because of how long the images were ![]() [Show spoiler]

First a Vocaloid thread and now there is an iDOLM@STER thread? All we need now is for someone to make a Love Live! School Idol Project thread. Anyways, back on topic, I loved the anime and so I approve of this thread.

Don't give me the idea. I don't like making threads as well because I'm terrible at it at. lol And that is hard to pick one favorite idol. I mean the all have great quailties about them. I guess if I had to pick one though it would be Haruka. Last edited by neoz; 07-19-2015 at 05:19 PM. |

Idolm@ster 2 has so much DLC on the PS3 version, that if everyone who bought the game agreed to buy the DLC, Namco would probably announce a localization right now. But seriously I think it went overkill and i'm the type who buys DLC in games.

![]() I do sorely miss the days when you just had to unlock things and not pay more for a game you've already bought. I loved the excitement of unlocking fighters in Soul Calibur II and Super Smash Bros Melee as a kid. |

So how do I get this game on my ipad? Or can I even do that since I'm sure it won't be like Live Live! and localized. ![]() And boo....I wish I could do some of this stuff... The iOS Shiny Festa localisations are like $7 on the app store atm. Shame they aren't on the AUS store, I mean I already have the PSP games but I'd pay $7 or $8 for the localised app.

![]() Granted they ported them to a free PS3 app a while ago with one free song (and the rest in DLC packs), so you could try it that way to see if the style of rhythm game even works for you as it's only a two button rhythm game rather than 4/8/10 like Project Diva is |

Found my One For All disc which had found itself in the wrong case somehow and decided to start from scratch as I got a bit ahead of myself when I last started which just ended in me being lost and confused. I've managed to get the hang of it now I think- so I can finally be on the same page as everyone else that says it's easier and has more freedom than im@s 2 (not going to say it's better or worse as I haven't played enough, but OFA does have better DLC songs which I'm taking advantage of).
Overwrote my initial game and have started with a trio of Takane, Miki and Yukiho (I decided I wanted Takane and Miki to be my strongest two so I started with them so they'd be ahead of the rest and Yukiho just because I like her voice with Takane and Miki). An interesting feature of OFA so far are the All Star Festivals where you design a setlist outside of just whatever song/s you're producing at the time and spread all 13 idols out among the songs and perform three songs back to back for a cumulative score instead of one performance and one score. I quite liked it and I loved being able to just pick a few songs outside of what I was producing at the time (performed 'Fate of the World', '99 Nights' and the non-dlc song I was currently producing). |
